SUBJECT:
Talented 20 Program—Class of 2006
The State Board of Education has identified Highest Student Achievement and Seam
less
Articulation and Maximum Access as two of its primary goals. In the continued effort to assist
school district and high school staff with the evaluation of high school transcripts for the
Talented 20 program, we plan to add a Talented 20 program link to the Florida Department of
Education’s (FDOE) website in January 2006.
The Talented 20 program link will provide high school counselors and other identified educators
with the opportunity to view district and school student eligibility data online. In the past,
Talented 20 Student Eligibility Reports were available at the Northwest Regional Data Center
(NWRDC) for districts to download the day after the data were submitted. Beginning with the
identification of the top 20% of the graduating class of 2006 for the Talented 20 program,
district-identified educators will download student eligibility reports online from the Talented 20
program link from the FDOE website and will no longer download them from the NWRDC.
To view district or high school student eligibility data educators will have an established
Talented 20 Program Logon Identification (ID). The Talented 20 Program Logon ID will be
separate from the Bright Futures Logon ID, yet similar in format.
The attached memorandum,
Talented 20 Program—Class of 2006 Logon Identification (Id)
, was
transmitted via email to district Talented 20 program contacts. It provides instructions for
submitting names of educators designated to have access to the Talented 20 Program Student

have access and an assigned Talented 20 Program Logon ID by
December 14, 2005,
to Helen
Lancashire, Talented 20 program contact. If you have technical questions concerning Talented
20 Program Logon ID access, please contact Pete Tanzy. For program specific questions, please
