2006 Just Read, Florida! Leadership Conference for Principals and Reading
Coaches
The Just Read, Florida! Leadership Conference for 2006 is scheduled for July 10-12, 2006, at the
Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. As we prepare for the upcoming conference, we
are seeking the input of our principals across the state. The 2006 Leadership Conference
promises to be a unique experience for each administrator/reading coach team with greater
choice provided through hundreds of breakout sessions. Furthermore, this conference will
feature numerous sessions presented by fellow principals, reading coaches, and district leaders,
giving you the opportunity to hear about the great literacy initiatives taking place in real schools
throughout our state.
In order to serve your needs most effectively, we would like to gather input on the types of
sessions you would like to attend next year. We will be conducting breakout sessions specific to
elementary, middle, and high school principals. The capacity for our conference is
approximately 3,600. In order to accommodate the greatest number of teams consisting of a
principal and a reading coach, we will prioritize registration based on the following criteria:
First Priority-Team:
Consisting of a Principal and a Reading Coach
Second Priority-Team:
Consisting of an Assistant Principal and a Reading Coach
Third Priority:
Principal or Assistant Principal
Fourth Priority:
Reading Coach
