ASSIGNMENTS FOR 2006-2007

State Board of Education Rule 6A-1.09441, FAC (Requirements for programs and courses which are
funded through the Florida Education Finance Program and for which the student may earn credit
toward high school graduation), provides specific conditions for which students may earn credit
toward high school graduation and for which courses are funded through the Florida Education
Finance Program (FEFP). The
Course Code Directory and Instructional Personnel Assignments
is
incorporated by reference and made a part of this rule.
The
Course Code Directory and Instructional Personnel Assignments for 2006-2007
was approved
by the State Board of Education in October 2005 as incorporated by reference into Rule 6A-1.09441,
FAC, effective November 21, 2005. The State Board also approved the course descriptions for the
new courses including essential content and course requirements in grades 6-12 in the Course Code
Directory as amended in Rule 6A-1.09412, FAC (Course Requirements – Grades 6-12 Basic and
Adult Secondary Programs). The
Course Code Directory and Instructional Personnel Assignments
for 2006-2007
and the summary of modifications to the Directory are available for your review and

In preparation for the 2007-2008 school year, school districts have an opportunity to submit courses
to be approved and included in the Course Code Directory. If your district has identified a need for a
new course, you may submit an application to the Department of Education by completing the
attached Form ESE 104. The completed form, including approval by the district school board, and
appropriate attachments must be postmarked by March 1, 2006, in order to be considered for the
2007-2008 school year.
