SUBJECT: Important Dates for 2006-07 Full Time Equivalent Student Enrollment Forecasting

A school district’s full time equivalent (FTE) student enrollment forecast is an important source

process. The Department of Education’s FTE

forecast software should be used by districts to create an FTE forecast for the 2006-07 budget

year.

Enrollment forecasting workshops have been scheduled for November 14 through November

17.

The workshops on November 14 and 15 will target new staff or staff with limited

experience forecasting FTE enrollment. The workshops on November 16 and 17 provide a

review of the process for more experienced forecasters. Because space is limited, participants

should register as soon as possible for the workshop that best meets their need. Please see the

attachment for workshop details.

The 2006-07 FTE student enrollment forecast for your district is due to the Department by close

of business on December 16, 2005.
