SUBJECT:
2+2 Pathways to Success Brochure
The Florida State Board of Education has identified seamless articulation and maximum access as one of its
four overarching goals. To support this goal, the Department of Education has developed a number of priority
projects in its strategic plan. One of these priority projects focuses on increasing public awareness of the 2+2
system.
The Department of Education (in consultation with the Articulation Coordinating Committee) has developed a
brochure designed to inform students about the various components of the 2+2 articulation system in Florida.
This brochure targets incoming community college students whose future plans may include pursuing a
baccalaureate degree. Since it is never too early for students to start thinking about their future, it is
recommended that information about the 2+2 system be provided to students while in high school and upon
entry into a community college.
Copies of the brochure were distributed to community colleges in August 2005 with the intent that they be
utilized during orientation and advising sessions to inform students about their transfer rights and
responsibilities. The hard copy of the brochure expands out to a poster that can be displayed in advising
offices and other prominent areas on campus; however, due to limited resources, additional copies must be
shared electronically. You may access the brochure on the web at http://www.FACTS.org. Click on the
“Advising Manuals” tab and then on “Transfer Brochure” to print copies. The content and design of the
electronic brochure are identical to that of the hard copy.
