We are pleased to announce a series of Weekends with the Experts for personnel serving students

with visual impairments as described in the attached brochure. In an effort to increase the supply of

highly effective teachers and improve student rates of learning, this series is funded by the Florida

Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services, and facilitated by

the Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired (FIMC-VI) and is free of charge

to participants. Workshops are open to all school personnel, including paraprofessionals, general

education teachers, special education teachers, and related service providers, as well as

families/caregivers of students who are visually impaired.

We are pleased to offer this exciting program and hope that your staff will take advantage of this

opportunity and share the information with interested parties. Online registration is available at
