    2005 JUVENILE JUSTICE EDUCATION INSTITUTE AND
    SOUTHERN CONFERENCE ON CORRECTIONS
    goal to lead the nation in Raising Student
    Achievement, we are pleased to reschedule the Juvenile Justice Education Institute and Southern
    Conference on Corrections which will be held at the Peabody Orlando in Orlando, Florida, on
    August 29-31, 2005. The Institute will provide important information concerning
    No Child Left
    Behind
    , transition planning, and career education. Your participation in this statewide
    opportunity for professional development is essential to achieving our common goals of quality
    educational programs provided to students served by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
    Over these three days, workshops representing state and local expertise, research-based
    instructional strategies, and best practices in juvenile justice education will be offered.
    For those who had not previously registered, please complete the attached registration form and
    fax to (850) 414-8357 or mail to Juvenile Justice Educational Enhancement Program, attention
    Barbara Groves, 325 John Knox Road, Building L, Suite 102, Tallahassee, Florida 32303, no
    later than August 19, 2005. The registration fee of $75.00, payable to the Florida Association of
    Alternative School Educators, will include a highly beneficial sourcebook. Registrations
    received after August 19, 2005, including onsite registration, will be $100.00.
