These class schedules are subject to change, but school districts will be given ample notice about
future classes.
The Basic Curriculum Instructor Course is a 40-hour class designed to prepare instructors to
teach the 20 classroom hours that every school bus driver trainee is required to have prior to
driving a school bus. Each participant is required to do a 30-minute presentation on a unit from
the School Bus Driver Curriculum.
The Commercial Driver License Tester Course certifies individuals to conduct the commercial
driver license three-part test to drive a school bus. Individuals will be required to send an
application to the Commercial Driver License Monitor in their region, have their driving history
reviewed, and undergo a fingerprint check before attending. There will be a small fee for the
fingerprint processing.
Each class will be announced and information will be sent to appropriate districts for
registration. For information on the requirements for classes, please contact Katrina Bond or
Teri Mathews at (850) 245-9795.
Thank you.
