We are pleased to announce that
The IEP Team’s Guide to FCAT Accommodations
is now available. This
manual supports the mission of the Florida Department of Education to “increase the proficiency of all
students within one seamless, efficient system.” The manual includes information about Florida
Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) requirements and students with disabilities and their eligibility for
accommodations. A decision making process is described with guidelines for selecting specific
accommodations. Individual educational plan (IEP) team members will be able to use this document as a
resource in making informed decisions about accommodations.
Enclosed is a copy of a Clearinghouse Information Center order form so that you may order the amount
necessary to meet your district’s needs. You may also download copies of this document on the Florida
Department of Education’s website at http://www.firn.edu/doe/commhome/pub-home.htm.
