Date:

Subject: MODIFICATIONS TO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
DATA ELEMENTS FOR 2005 - 2006 SCHOOL YEAR
Professional Development is one of the key elements in sustaining a high-performing
teacher workforce. In order to align the provisions of the Florida Professional
Development System Evaluation Protocol Standards with required state information
data base elements, the following modifications will be made for the 2005-2006 school
year. These changes provide for the addition of a new data element for Evaluation
Method, and the rewording of Follow-up Method to better align selections with the
standards. The changes are the result of recommendations from district professional
development directors.
Here is the data element list that will be effective July 1, 2005. It will be used with
Survey 5 (2005-2006) reporting, with new language underlined and deleted language
struck-through.
