Florida College Access Network (FCAN) Conference
The Florida Department of Education’s goals of improving student rates of learning, increasing
the quantity and quality of educational outcomes and coordinating efforts to improve student
learning are top priorities for the K-20 Office of Equity and Access.
We are pleased to announce the rescheduled date for the first Florida College Access Network
(FCAN) Conference to be held at the Hilton St. Petersburg, St. Petersburg, Florida. The
conference is scheduled for April 6-8, 2005.
The attached Agenda-At-A-Glance will give you an idea of various offerings designed to assist

you in your efforts. We are hoping to see representatives from school districts, as well as new
?
and established faith and community-based organizations. I encourage everyone who is involved

in helping Florida’s students pursue their dreams of attaining a postsecondary education to

attend.

A block of rooms is being held at the Hilton St. Petersburg, and reservations must be made
before March 18, 2005, to secure the group rate. The rate is $99/per night, single or double
