    ON-LINE REGISTRATION FOR EMERGENCY IMMIGRANT
    EDUCATION PROGRAM (EIEP)
    In the past, the Department of Education annually collected data on the number of
    recently arrived immigrants (students not born in any state or U.S. territory) and level of
    services provided during the school year. These data were collected by paper surveys.
    We are pleased to announce that the data collection forms for the Emergency
    Immigrant Student Count (formerly, form ESE 261) and the Emergency Immigrant
    Education Program (formerly, form ESE 615) are available online this year. (The hard
    copy forms are no longer available.)
    Please provide the names of personnel responsible for completing and
    submitting these on-line forms by June 30, 2002.
