TWELFTH ANNUAL SCHOOL ATTENDANCE SYMPOSIUM: Registration
Brochure
The Department of Education, Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services, and the Florida
Association of School Social Workers (FASSW) will co-sponsor the Twelfth Annual School Attendance
Symposium January 25-26, 2005, at The Doubletree Hotel, Universal Orlando. Other collaborators are
the Florida Network on Children and Youth, the Florida Association of District School Superintendents,
the Florida Partnership for Family Involvement in Education, and the Florida PTA.
The School Attendance Symposium provides a statewide forum for sharing and promoting programs and
practices that positively impact school attendance and student achievement. This year’s symposium will
also showcase and recognize programs of excellence that demonstrate essential components of evidence-
based practices. Please distribute the enclosed Registration Brochure and encourage participation of staff
responsible for facilitating school attendance and student progression through intervention, prevention,
and enforcement programs in your district.
