SUBJECT:
Availability of School Readiness Uniform Screening System (SRUSS)
Training and Support Website
We are pleased to announce the launch of the SRUSS Training and Support Website. This
website may be accessed by going to www.pearsonearlylearning.com/FloridaSRUSS. The
password is SRUSS04.
The SRUSS Training & Support Website includes an online tutorial for the Early Screening
Inventory-Kindergarten (ESI-K). The intent of the tutorial is to support teachers in learning
and using the standardized administration process for the screening tool. In order to train
teachers on this process, the tutorial includes video clips of the proper administration
practices.
In order to view the video clips and therefore ensure optimal use of the tutorial, teachers
must access the tutorial on a computer with a current web browser (Internet Explorer 5.0 or
higher or Netscape 7.0) and the multimedia software QuickTime, which will allow them to
view the videos.
QuickTime is software that displays graphics, sound, video, text, and music. QuickTime, a
product of Apple Computer, is currently used by an estimated 20,000 websites. If you do
not have QuickTime installed on your computer it can be downloaded at no cost for
Macintosh and Windows at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/products/qt/.
