Upcoming Protocol Review Process Training – August, 2004
As we continue our efforts to implement the Professional Development System Evaluation
Protocol, we are providing district and school level administrators and other professional
development professionals with a four hour training session on the district on-site professional
development system review process. During the 2004-2005 school year, approximately 15-25
districts will be reviewed. Each review lasts approximately 3-5 days.
The purpose of this session is to increase awareness about the review procedures; overview the
documents to be reviewed on-site; and provide information on the interview procedures.
Participants will also be briefed on the review rating scale and examples for each of the judgment
ratings will be provided. The Review Process training will be offered August 23 from noon –
4:00 p.m. in Tallahassee (location TBA) and again on August 30 from noon – 4:00 pm in
Orlando (location TBA). These sessions are designed to allow participants to attend the
conference without the need for an overnight stay.
You are encouraged to register early for this event as we anticipate a full session. Please note
that we will not be able to accommodate on-site registrations (meeting space and materials

email. A follow-up email will provide specific location information and directions to the site as
soon as these logistical arrangements have been finalized.
