Training Regarding Programs for Students who are Blind/Visually Impaired
The Florida Department of Education and the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind will
sponsor a statewide training for district administrators responsible for programs for students who
are visually impaired November 4-5, 2004, in Daytona Beach, Florida. This training opportunity
is
not
intended for teachers of the visually impaired or orientation and mobility instructors. The
purpose of the training is to provide administrators with the means to improve educational
services for students with visual impairment. Other suggested participants include staffing
specialists, school psychologists, and program specialists who do not have a background in
vision, but are currently responsible for programs for students with visual impairment.
Please hold this date. Information regarding hotel, registration, and agenda will be provided in
September.
