Recipients of FY 2003-2004 Carl D. Perkins Federal Vocational Education Funds
FROM:

SUBJECT:
2002-2003 Basic Grant Roll Forward Funds
By law it is required that roll forward funds from FY 2002-2003 be allocated to enhance the original
funds received during the FY 2003-2004 using the same formulas approved by the U.S. Department of
Education for Secondary, Postsecondary and Tech Prep programs.
On the attached sheets you will find the allocation of funds for school districts, vocational centers and
community colleges for Secondary, Postsecondary and Tech Prep programs. This increase represents the
number of additional dollars your agency may acquire through the proposal amendment process. The
funding period for roll forward dollars will be from the date we receive your amendment, in acceptable
form, through June 30, 2004.
To acquire the additional dollars reflected in the attachments, you must submit DOE Forms 150 and 151
(Budget Amendment Form). These dollars are to be treated as basic grant dollars and are used to enhance
a current project as well as support new initiatives provided they are reflected in your approved plan.
Please forward your completed amendment request to: Florida Department of Education, Bureau of
Grants Management, 325 West Gaines Street, Room 325, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-0400.
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact Dr. Ike Gibson at (850) 245-9026 or e-mail at
Ike.Gibson@fldoe.org.
