From Standard 1.1.6 and 2.1.7: Learning Communities

Learning Communities are small groups of faculty who meet regularly to study more effective
Learning and teaching practices. Learning communities can be effective methods for infusing
Scientifically based research programs into classrooms.

The Florida Department of Education, in support of the
    Florida Professional

    Development

    Evaluation System Protocol
, will host a session on Professional Learning Communities, Monday,
May 3rd, in Orlando (location to be announced) from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

    ‰

What are professional learning communities and how do they function?
    ‰

    ‰
