We are pleased to announce the availability of a new version of a product developed by the
Accommodations and Modifications for Students with Disabilities Project at the Learning Systems
Institute, Florida State University.
Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Instruction Manager 2
(
CD ROM) – Product # 10524
The ESE Instruction Manager 2 is an electronic tool for Florida’s school district personnel and
teachers who work with exceptional student education programs. It provides easy access to three
databases of information: 1) the benchmarks and grade level expectations (GLEs) for the Sunshine
State Standards for academic subject areas and applied technology; 2) the Sunshine State Standards
for Special Diploma; and 3) the Course Descriptions for Exceptional Student Education, Grades 6-
12 and Adult, and Performance Objectives for Elementary Students. In addition, ESE Instruction
Manager 2 includes a software application, Student Progress, that teachers can use to plan
individual student outcomes in ESE and basic education courses and to monitor student progress.
Student records can be customized to reflect individual needs.

The product may be used on computers with Macintosh System 8.6 or higher and System 10 or
Windows 98, NT 4.0, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
Statewide training for potential trainers will be provided in the fall by project staff from the
Learning Systems Institute at Florida State University. The locations and schedule for this training
will be announced this summer. Training for individual districts can be provided on a limited basis.
Copies of the CD may be ordered from the Clearinghouse Information Center. Please indicate the
product number and allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.
