Enclosed with this memo is the recently published booklet entitled
Questions and Answers from

Annual Family Cafe Conference
. This publication contains, by agency and topic, answers
to the questions that Governor Bush received during the 2003 Family Cafe. Copies of this
publication have been sent to the conference attendees who submitted the individual questions.

We are also pleased to announce the 2004 Annual Family Cafe conference, to be held May 28-
30, 2004, in Orlando, Florida. As part of the conference, the 6
th
Annual Governor’s Summit on
Disabilities is scheduled for Friday, May 28, 2004, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. The three-day
conference will provide a diverse range of information for individuals with disabilities and
special health care needs, and their families through 150 concurrent sessions, a record-setting
number for the Family Cafe. The conference will be at the Rosen Centre, 9840 International
Drive, Orlando, Florida (407-996-9840). The group name for reservations is “Family Cafe," and
room reservations are based on availability. Early reservations are encouraged.
Pre-conference registration begins on February 5, 2004, and ends on March 30, 2004. There is
no registration fee. All participants, including presenters and exhibitors, are required to register.

will be provided to families by the Family Cafe on a case-by-case basis, based on funding
availability. Early registration is encouraged for those families seeking financial assistance.
Districts are also encouraged to support families in their attendance at the 2004 Annual Family
Cafe conference through the use of their discretionary grants.
