SUBJECT: Assistive Technology Awareness Day
We are pleased to recognize February 5, 2004, as Assistive Technology Awareness Day. This
day is dedicated to recognizing the impact of assistive technology on the educational success of
students and the support of teachers, related personnel, and families in achieving this success.
ss Day in your district. Across the state,
technology specialists are planning for presentations to school boards, faculty, and parent
organizations. Assistive technology will be featured on school district and local television
stations and in school technology labs. Posters to be displayed in your schools have been sent to
your local Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources System (FDLRS) Center. Contact your
local Center for posters and more information.
Thank you for recognizing this statewide day highlighting assistive technology.
