From:
Jim Warford
Date:
December 5, 2003
Subject: 2003 JUVENILE JUSTICE TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD
I am pleased to announce the Department of Education and the Juvenile Justice
Educational Enhancement Program (JJEEP) are accepting nominations for the 2003
Juvenile Justice Teacher of the Year award. Please find enclosed the complete
nomination packet including an overview of the process and the nomination form.
Florida’s system for educating juvenile offenders is among the strongest in the nation,
due in no small part to the tireless efforts of competent and caring teachers. Through
the Teacher of the Year process, we will honor one teacher from each of Florida’s five
reporting regions as the regional Teacher of the Year. One of the five regional honorees
will be selected as Florida’s 2003 Juvenile Justice Teacher of the Year.
