SUBJECT:
Best Practices for Workforce Education
Workforce Education is committed to sharing research-based, quality best practices programs
that will help others with program improvement. In order to showcase these best practices in
Workforce Education, the Florida Department of Education, Office of Workforce Education
(OWE), is pleased to announce a new initiative that is designed to review and post exemplary
programs and practices in Career, Technical, and Adult Education programs on the Department
of Education web site.
Best practices are defined as those programs and activities in
Workforce Education that are measurable, research-based, replicable, show innovative
teaching strategies, and encourage business and community involvement to promote higher
student achievement.
You may submit an electronic application on-line for your best practices programs at
http://info.doe.state.fl.us/workforce_survey/survey.cfm. Once completed, the applications will
be carefully reviewed and selected applications will be posted by October 2003 at
http://info.doe.state.fl.us/workforce_survey/display.cfm.
