SUBJECT: 2003-2004 Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing Weekends with the Experts
The Florida Department of Education, K-12, Bureau of Instructional Support and Community
Services is pleased to announce Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing Weekends with the Experts. The
program provides teachers of the deaf or hard-of-hearing with an opportunity for continuing
education by bringing experts from around the country to Florida. Enclosed is a flier announcing
the program. This year’s Weekends with the Experts program is being co-sponsored with the
Florida Comprehensive System of Personnel Development Project and the Teaching Training
Initiative: Deaf Education Project. Fliers are also being mailed to teachers of the Deaf/Hard-of-
Hearing in the state of Florida.
There is no registration fee for the workshop. Participants are encouraged to register through the
TTI: DE website at www.unfdeafed.com. Those unable to register on the website can send their
registrations to: Brenda Diley, Project Assistant, University of North Florida, College of
Education and Human Services, 4567 St. Johns Bluff Road South, Jacksonville, Florida 32224-
2676.
The registration deadlines are as follows: December 5, 2003, for WWE #1; January 9,
2004, for WWE #2; February 13, 2004, for WWE #3; and March 24, 2004, for WWE #4.
