MEMORANDUM
TO:
Middle School Principals
FROM:

DATE:
September 11, 2003
SUBJECT:
Career Cruiser
The
Career Cruiser
is a career planning magazine designed to introduce eighth grade students to
occupational and educational information. The
Career Cruiser
includes an interest checklist,
occupational descriptions with average earnings and educational requirements plus many student
activities. Students can learn about budgeting, learning styles, decision-making, and planning
strategies.
The
2003-2004 Career Cruiser
will be distributed directly to each middle school. Each school
should receive enough
Career Cruisers
for their eighth grade students. We hope this resource
will be useful as your students begin their career exploration. The
Teacher’s Guide
, a new
supplement to the
Career Cruiser,
is included in this mailing. If you have any questions
regarding the
Career Cruiser
, please call Patrick Wright at 800-342-9271.
