    Information on Senate Bill 30A and House Bill 23B
     
    During the 2003 legislative session, the laws related to high school graduation were amended to provide students
    with accelerated high school graduation options, to modify the general requirements for high school graduation, and
    to align the number of required university admission credits with the accelerated options. In addition, the
    Legislature, in Special Session B, passed House Bill 23B focusing on high school graduation requirements,
    including the provision of additional opportunities and alternatives for students to meet certain high school
    graduation requirements.

    Please forward these documents to the appropriate persons at your university so that everyone is aware of the
    alternatives for FCAT for the 2002-2003 graduating seniors and the graduation options that are now in law. Ms.
    Nell Kelly and Ms. Lynda Page will be providing Admission Directors and Registrars with copies of these materials
    at the July 23 meeting of the Admissions and Registrars meeting in Sanibel.
