UPK Advisory Council Meeting, June 24

The first meeting of the UPK Council, appointed by Commissioner Jim Horne, will be on June 24, 2003. The meeting will be held at the Radisson

Hotel (415 North Monroe Street, Tallahassee, Florida) and will begin at 9:30 AM and conclude no later than 3:00 PM. Reservations, at the state

rate of $79 /night may be made by calling the Radisson at (850) 224-6000. Please identify yourself as a member of the Universal Prekindergarten

Education group. A sandwich buffet "working lunch" will cost $11 per person. Your travel and meals will be reimbursed at the state rate.

Our first meeting will focus on creating the Council’s Guiding Principles and identifying the desired outcomes for Florida’s children in

Prekindergarten programs. To facilitate the work of this Council and to provide opportunities for public input, meeting information is available on-
