It is a pleasure to report that the digital fingerprinting project initiated by the Department of
Education in conjunction with the Department of Insurance is a reality.
Lockheed Martin has
been selected as the vendor who will administer this project. A target date of July has been set to
have the system fully operational.
Your cooperation and assistance is vital to the project’s
success.
Representatives of Lockheed Martin and the Department of Education will be contacting
each district as we proceed with equipment installation, district staff training, and implementation
of the system.
By April 22, 2002,
please provide the following information to Jerry W. Whitmore,

Site Locations
– Building name, address, room number, city, state,
and zip code for each site where a fingerprint
station is to be located.
Each district gets at least one fingerprint station. Larger
districts will receive additional stations based upon their size.
Additional stations may be located at different sites or they can
all be located in the same site.

District Staff To Be Trained
–

and E-mail address of 2 to 5 individuals
per station to be trained by Lockheed
Martin to operate the scan unit(s).
Lockheed Martin trainers will visit
EVERY
district to train district staff. Their contact person is
