Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to forward to high school and middle

school principals and guidance counselors. The survey may be accessed at http://www.fl­

Dear Guidance Counselor,

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in conjunction with the Florida

Department of Education is researching current perceptions about agriculture as a component

of secondary education.

The survey instrument is composed of two sections and designed for ease of use. The first

section will tell us about you and your situation. The second section will permit you to express

your view on the current state of agriculture as part of the modern secondary education

curriculum.

Your opinion is important to us, and to the study. We are seeking your impartial response. We

ask that you do not discuss your responses with colleagues until after completing the

questionnaire, and then only with colleagues who either are not participating in the survey or

have already completed it.

Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions. All individual information is

confidential and participation is voluntary. Data will be released in the aggregate only.
