    SUBJECT: 11
    th
    Annual Sterling Conference – May 27-30, 2003

To meet the personnel needs of today and the future, we must develop a systematic approach to the
training and development of our leaders, our potential leaders, and all new employees. That approach
must help us develop effective and efficient utilization of our human and other resources as we strive to
provide the best education for our children.

    The
    11
    th
    Annual Sterling Conference
will provide you with many learning experiences focused on a
    systems approach to improvement. The
    Sterling Conference
    features nearly 60 workshops, including
many in the Human Resource category. The attached flyers describe workshops oriented to the education
sector and specific information on the Education Forum that is part of the conference. I would also
encourage you to attend sessions outside of education as we have much to learn from other organizations.
Visit the Sterling web site listed below to see specific Human Resource sessions.

In addition, there are five keynote speakers who are versed on how to use the Baldrige/Sterling
management model to transform organizations to achieve world-class results.
