2006-2011 Local Educational Agency Plan –
Due Date June 30, 2006
The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as reauthorized by the “No Child Left
Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001,” requires that a local educational agency (LEA) must have on file
at the State educational agency (SEA) a State-Approved Local Educational Agency Plan.
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide you with the information that you need to write
your district’s LEA Title I, Part A Plan. This plan must be completed every five years for the
LEA to receive funds under Title I, Part A, Education of Disadvantaged Children and Youth.
This plan will be effective from July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2011. The LEA Title I, Part A
Plan may be accessed at

. The username will
be your district name, and the password will be your two-digit district number.

Completed plans must be submitted via the online system by close of business on June 30, 2006.
The certification page with the original signature (blue ink) of the Superintendent must be
received by the Department on or before June 30, 2006, and should not precede the plan
submitted online in order for the application to be considered official.
