The third calculation of the 2003-04 Florida Education Finance Program requires an estimate of
June 2004 Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) unweighted full-time equivalent students
(UFTE) by school, program, and grade. The July 2003 DJJ UFTE (from Survey 1) will serve as
your district’s estimated June 2004 DJJ UFTE, unless a better estimate can be provided.

If an estimate is being provided, the attached copy of Form ESE 135 should be completed for
each school
by Friday, November 14, 2003.

The attached form letter, which certifies the estimated June 2004 DJJ total, must be signed by
the superintendent or designee and submitted no later than Friday, November 14, 2003. If the
July 2003 DJJ UFTE is to be used as your district’s estimated June 2004 DJJ UFTE, or if you
anticipate zero DJJ UFTE for June, a letter which certifies the total UFTE is still required.
Submitted UFTE will be reconciled to the total certified in the letter.

For districts that submit data after the November 14 deadline, the July 2003 DJJ UFTE will be
used as the estimated June 2004 DJJ UFTE.
